Detailed Itinerary of the 7 days Chimpanzees, Gorillas & Wildlife

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Kibale Forest

On arrival at the Entebbe International Airport, you are transferred to the stunning Kibale Forest National Park located a few kilometers off Fort Portal Town.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest

Wake up early have breakfast then transfer to the Park headquarters for briefing on the code of conduct around the Chimpanzees then later in groups of 6 with a skilled park ranger, transfer to the Kanyanchu Visitor’s Center where you leave from to penetrate the forest to track the Chimpanzees in their natural forest habitat for 2-4 hours and when you meet them, take many photos to keep for memories. After Chimpanzee tracking, return back to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Primates’ lodge Kibale.

Day 3: Transfer to Mgahinga National Park

On this day 3 of the 7 days Chimpanzees, Gorillas & Wildlife safaris, you will wake up have breakfast then with your luggage embark on a transfer to Mgahinga National Park. En-route watch the beautiful terrain, birds and have lunch then later you reach the Park check-in your lodge/ hotel. You can go an optional guided nature walk around the local communities. Dinner and Overnight at Mount Gahinga Lodge, Kisoro Tourist Hotel. Meal Plan: F/B.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Mgahinga National Park

Wake up early have breakfast then later transfer for briefing at the headquarters about the Dos and Don’ts around the Mountain Gorillas. You are distributed into groups of 8 with a skilled park ranger, transfer into the green forest to track the Gorillas for 3- 5 hours in their habitat and when you meet them only an hour is allowed to stay in their presence taking photos to keep for memories.

After Gorilla Trekking, proceed back to your lodge for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Mount Gahinga Lodge, Kisoro Tourist Hotel. Meal Plan: F/B.

Day 5: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Wake up have breakfast then with your luggage embark on your transfer to Lake Mburo National Park located a few kilometers off Mbarara Town. Transfer for a period of time and when you reach Mbarara then break off for lunch then later proceed to the Park to enjoy an en-route game Drive as you go to check-in your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Mihingo Lodge, Mburo Safari Lodge.

Day 6: Game Drive and Boat Cruise in Lake Mburo

Wake up early have breakfast then transfer to enjoy a Game Drive along the various tracks in the Park watching wildlife then later at Midday break off for lunch. After lunch, proceed to Lake Mburo to enjoy a Boat Cruise watching crocodiles, hippos and water birds. After the Boat Cruise return back to your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight.
